Terms of service

These terms cover your use of ShardPath, a tool for designing distributed systems and simulating how they behave under load. ShardPath (“we”, “us”) is run independently from India; our legal name and postal address are sent to anyone who asks at contact@shardpath.com. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.

Your account

Keep your password and any API tokens to yourself: whatever is done with them counts as done by you. You must be 18 or older to have an account. Tell us at contact@shardpath.com if you think someone else is using your account.

Your designs

What you make is yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your designs, show them to you, and show them to the people you choose (through a share link) or to everyone (if you publish to the gallery). When you publish a design, anyone may view it and copy it into their own account; unpublishing stops new copies, not ones already made. The notes on your canvas are never part of what you share or publish.

Plans and payment

What you may not do

We may remove published designs that break these rules, and suspend accounts that do so repeatedly. Anyone can report a design from its page; a moderator reviews every report.

The numbers

ShardPath is a simulator. Its results come from models and default figures, not from measuring your real systems. Use them to learn and to compare ideas, not as a guarantee of how a production system will behave.

The service

We work to keep ShardPath running and your designs safe, but it is provided as it is, without warranties, and it may change or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from Account and data; your designs go with it, and any plan is cancelled. We will tell you before changing these terms in a way that matters, and you can stop using the service if you do not agree.

Complaints

Write to contact@shardpath.com with what the complaint is about (a link to the design, if it is about one). We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live.
